We order thin crust sausage/onion pizza for pick up every few months. The onions are white and we much rather prefer red onion. I'll ask if they have red next time. The cheese is plentiful and thick, above average. 4 stars for the pizza and 5 stars for the service. The girls answering the phones are polite and the pick up time is always accurate. This location is pick up/delivery only and it has been there for many years. It's located in a small strip mall next to a convenience store a mile or so away from North Ave. You can tell business is great and things are busy for them. To save a few dollars you'll find coupons in the mail. The lobby is small and has pictures of local little league sports team they sponsor. That's great when a local business gives back to the community. I wonder if they help out their neighbors at Glenbard North HS Athletics? The menu has a lot to choose from along with catering and we'll need to give them a try for our next family get together. They are not just a pizza place.

My family have ordered from White Cottage for years. Continued to order after Balzanos closed as well. Tonight will be my last time ordering from White Cottage. I called in a pizza order. They did get it wrong, my husband picked it up not looking at the ticket. Once we got home we realized the error and call right away. The girl answered and I was telling her what happened. She was pleasant and not rude. They would send me the correct pizza in 17-20 minutes, but I would have to swap out the pizzas. I told her I couldn't do that, but send the pizza and I'll pay for it. She said she could have them send me a smaller pizza for free. I honestly didn't want a free pizza, would have paid, and called it a day. She told me she had to talk to her manager. When she came back on the phone she said she could swap it out or give me a $5 credit on my next order. I said so you are not sending a pizza? She said her manager wouldn't okay it. Well, because of this I won't be ordering from them anymore. This to me is a joke. I wasn't looking for anything for free, willing to pay for the new pizza, and they offered to give me a free pizza then take it away. Sorry bad customer service and I will let everyone know about this one as well.

I have been eating at White Cottage years. I used to live in Bensenville, and I would order from the Wood Dale location, which was great! I moved to Carol Stream a few years ago, and when I found out there was a White Cottage just around the corner, I was thrilled! Until we ate there a few times. The quality of this location is subpar at best. The last order we placed was a large sausage stuffed pizza, with the fried platter. The fried platter was horrible. The food was dark and way too crispy. I really think they need to change the oil on their fryers. The pizza was just as bad! It was soggy, and all the cheese fell off the soggy dough as soon as I picked up a slice of this $20 mess! I was going to call and complain, but that's not my style. I hate to leave a revue like this, but I felt that I had to. Sorry, White Cottage, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

This is my staple for thin crust pizza! They really load up on the cheese...but I guess I rather have too much than too little. Overall great food!

Let me just say if I can give negative stars I would! I hated I had to give a star!!! We ordered a large pizza with 2 toppings and extra sauce because most pizza places never add enough sauce! We also ordered gravy fries and a cheesy beef with a side of hot peppers! When my son got home and I read the receipt I noticed we where over charged. When I called I was told I was charged for extra sauce!! We order pizza weekly from different restaurants in our area and I've never once been charged for extra sauce! It is not listed in the toppings! Then the Italian beef I ordered juicy and a side of Au Jus just in case it was dry. Well they charge me for the little cup! Again we have never been charged for it no matter where we order from. It wasn't even Au Jus it was a cup of orange grease! The sandwich was soaked in the "orange grease" I couldn't finish it. The gravy fries are also soaked in the nasty orange Grease! I reread the menu again and it doesn't state anywhere on the menu you will be charged for pizza sauce or Au Jus so the person on the phone should have told us about the extra charge. They will never get our business again and If you order from them please check your " Extra Charges"!

I would say this place is a solid 2nd best pizza place in town. Good customer service

I'm upping my rating of White Cottage due to the excellent pizza I had tonight! The Chicken Ranch, made with: chicken, bacon, onions, and fresh tomatoes with ranch sauce. It was delicious! Definitely worth trying. And if you like cold pizza, the Chicken Ranch is excellent the next morning.

Recently order a pepperoni pizza. Pretty good, lots of cheese, the pepperoni was razor thin, but overall, not a bad pizza. Last night ordered the 14" margarita pizza. When they handed me the box, I honestly thought it was empty. Razor thin crust, razor thin tomatoes, bits of basil and bits of cheese. Tasty but way overpriced. Still hungry, we went to White Castle afterwards. Might go there again, but there are better places in town.

Love love their pizza!! My parents owned a pizza place for 26 years and nothing compared until White Cottage. A little disappointed tonight, worked a long week looking forward to our Friday night Pizza after a few drinks, called to order for delivery and their credit card machine is down, no problem things happen, said we could write a check, were long time customers, but the girls answering the phones not so friendly, said they could not accept it, when we said we would order somewhere else they hung up! So sad having this happen from my favorite pizza place they should accommodate their regulars, you can see in the computer how long we've been ordering there, how loyal we are!

Very good pizza. We moved away from Carol Stream for 2 yrs. Moved back this year cause we purchased a house. We live right around the corner, walking distance. They have a chicken sandwich called the firehouse. OMG. So Damn good and the bun is awesome. The flavors just explode in your mouth. They sure have my business!!

I have ordered from this place one other time through grub hub. The first time it was great no problems, food was good. The second time it took two and a half hours after we ordered to finally get our food. 30 minutes past when it was supposed to be delivered I called the restaurant to find out the status, The young lady apologized saying that they were running behind and it would be to our house in fifteen minutes. A half hour later I called back to be told that it would be another15 minutes (1:15 late). 10 minutes later we received a call to say they went to the wrong address. Finally after 2.5 hours our food finally arrived, luke warm and soggy. I called the restaurant to talk to the manager Luis, his response was lackluster. He blamed it on lack of delivery drivers and the bears game. When confronted about his lack of management skills as well as awareness of how poor their service was he responded with "eh, what can you do" and offered a free pizza. I less then politely declined. The food is good, but is managed by imbeciles!

Ordered a salad and fettuccine Alfredo for delivery. Now, I hate Alfredo sauce. It's all about red sauce. Why the hell did I order fettuccine Alfredo? The rest of my family has the nerve to enjoy other foods than I do. WHAT A WORLD. We ordered it with chicken and broccoli and it was actually really good. And not just good for Alfredo sauce, good in general. The delivery was fast, which is a definite pro. They did mess up my salad order though and forgot the chicken. It also came dripping with salad dressing, but I had assumed it would have been on the side. Now I know better and will order it without dressing in the future. I'll order from there again, the food was good, I just hope to get the correct order next time.

The pizza here is good, no doubt about that. Thick, rich, buttery crust and good amounts of cheese. The pizzas were fairly well-done (lots of dark brown on the cheese and crust) which I like, but some may not. My problem with this place was the price. Even with a coupon our two 20" pizzas (one topping each) were $60.00 delivered and that's where it ends for me. It's only worth what you are willing to pay for it and I'm most definitely not willing to pay that much for thin crust pizzas, but that's just my opinion.

Ordered buffalo chicken wrap, got something that looked like chicken caesar wrap. I actually like caesar wraps to so gave it a shot since they offered credit for mix up. Couldn't even finish which I can't remember the last time I didn't at least stomach through something I paid for. Tasted like someone took a cup of caesar sauce and wrapped it in a cold flour tortilla. Just god awful. Keep making the mistake of ordering something not pizza from a pizza place. Would write more but actually feel sick right now.

Since moving to Carol Stream a little over a year ago my family has been on a mission to find our go-to pizza place. Well, our search is now over. The first time we ordered- it was a pan pizza. The crust was awesome and it was loaded with cheese and toppings. It was absolutely delicious- totally worth the 45 minutes it takes to cook. Since then we've been ordering thick crust. It's not super thick like a lot of places- but just right. Their sauce is awesome, the cheese is phenomenal, and the ingredients are always really fresh. Sure, it's a little pricey but you pay for quality. If you want a $10 pizza go somewhere else but this place is definitely worth a try!

We ordered from White Cottage for the first time since moving here a few years ago, upon seeing that they now offer gluten free pizzas! They come in a 10" size, so we ordered two with different topping combinations. Both were very good, and good GF pizza is hard to come by! We will definitely order again. Delivery was made 5-10 minutes earlier than quoted, which was great. For the record, I do not have Celiac or any severe food allergies. I would imagine that these gluten-free pizzas were prepared and cooked alongside regular ones, which is fine for us, but you may want to ask more questions if you are a hardline gluten-free eater.

I've only had one problem with them messing up my order, but it was promptly fixed and delivered to me for free (they let me keep the other order too, which my boyfriend loved). Typically when I order pasta from White Cottage it's delivered within 15-20 minutes (they say an hour). Their pizza really is delicious (especially with bacon!), and I'm pretty sure that has to do with the sauce. It's a little pricey, but I think it's worth it!

I have been eating White Cottage for some time, here in Carol Stream and at my old job in Wood Dale. I have never really had a 'bad' experience. The one time they messed up our order I was actually glad, it turned out to be good and they even gave my girlfriend the right order by delivery rather fast!

Best deep dish Chicago Style pizza I've had as a carry out. Delicious but not too salty- like some others. This is all Ive ever had from there and it's great. Kinda pricey, but worth it every once in a while!

Yum yum yum! I have been looking for pizza this good for a long time in my area. Took chance and ordered for the first time. We got the thick crust and it is our new favorite pizza place! This is not your $10 for a large pizza place but well worth the $22! Will be ordering again for sure...oh and the cheese is amazing!!! Well done White Cottage Pizza :)

White Cottage has my favorite pizza in the western suburbs, so when we needed to find a caterer for a party this past weekend, I decided to try them out. I called to order two weeks ahead of time, and I told them that I had a 10% off catering coupon. A week later, I got a 15% catering coupon in the mail and they let me use that one instead with no problems! The food was ready for pick-up right on schedule, and even though we only ordered for 50 people, they gave us enough food to feed 75! We had so many of our guests tell us how good the food was and asked where it was from... and they all said it was a nice change from the typical mostaccioli and chicken wings that you usually get at summer parties. We had chicken vesuvio, Italian beef w/ french bread, pasta in vodka sauce, raspberry walnut salad, vegetable medley, and potato skins.... the potato skins were a huge hit, and the only item that we actually ran out of. After feeding 56 adults and 8 children, we took half of our leftovers to another family gathering the next day and fed another 14 adults... and then we STILL had a ton of leftovers. We're going to be eating White Cottage food for the next week or two, but it is so good that we don't mind at all!

I have since had some not-so-good pizza from here in the past 2 years. It used to be super, but now it has dropped in quality. They are fast, but the thick crust is not so good. Not the best anymore. Dropping the rating slightly given the drop in quality.

It's pizza, but nothing special. I probably wouldn't order it again since I wasn't very impressed.

This used to be the only place around the area that has a STADIUM size pizza. Seriously huge. But I haven't seen it on the menu as of late, so someone correct me if I'm wrong. The pizza is a bit overpriced, but luckily there's coupons you can find online for around 3 or 4 dollars off. The quality is something close to or better than Rosati's. A hefty amount of toppings to choose from, including roast beef and shrimp. I have only tried the thin crust, which is my favorite, so I have yet to try the thick, pan, and stuffed style.

Ordered a catered lunch late and it arrived on time and tasted perfect! Always been a fan of their pizzas (since they opened in Wood Dale!), but first time ordering meals. With 3 sides, 1 pasta and 2 meats for $9/pp it was a delicious bargain!

This is the only place that used to have STADIUM sized pizza, FREAKIN HUUUUUUGE!! I like the cheese (then again how can you go wrong with that) But it is a bit over priced. Its good if you're having parties/watching the superbowl, just remember to cut out the coupons you get in the mail (carol stream)

This place has gone down hill. The customer service is so bad I no longer want to order pizza from here. On Halloween we ordered pizza like the rest of Carol Stream they told me it would be 50 minutes. I went in 15 minutes late (so 65 mins after I ordered) and the line was out the door. It took me 20 mins to make my way to the front of the line where they told me that my pizza was not ready. I sat in line with everyone else. People started getting upset and I started up a conversation with the lady next to me and found out she had been there for 3 hours. When she finally got her pizza I spoke up and said are you going to give her a little off for waiting here for more then 3 hours and I was told no. More time went on and people started to ask talk to the manager. They said he was to busy. More time went by and someone asked again to talk to a manager and he finally came out and just said what do you want me to do we are flooding with orders and walked away. People started canceling orders and walking out. Thinking this should speed up the process I continued to wait.....Until they started calling out those same pizzas......so it was clear they never cancelled the orders to the kitchen. I noticed that when I walked in that in the heater they had food that wasn't moving.....having nothing to do I watched those boxes out of curiosity. After 2 hours of being in the store it was finally my time to get my pizza and my side order they opened up the heater and grabbed the food that had been sitting there for 2 hours. I laughed and told them I wasn't going to pay for the sides because they had been sitting there for 2 hours. The kicker was that the whole time I was waiting they kept telling people that where calling and ordering that the wait was only 50 mins when it was clear they had hours of pizzas backed up b The next few times I ordered I got short answers and rude service. Tonight was the last straw and I do admit that I made a mistake. I ordered my pizza and they told me I needed to bring in the coupon (which for some reason they have a web code on it that you are required to give them on the phone) it's raining so I left early forgetting my coupon. I walked in right before they swiped my card they asked did you remember your coupon and I said no I forgot it because I left in a hurry because of the rain. She told me well we need that coupon so I said I guess if I have to pay full price and she told me "yea you will" in a very rude tone. I would have normally have driven back home for the coupon but it was a pretty bad storm. I would think to keep a customer happy you would except they had the given you the code when you ordered. I just want to let the community know this place is slipping in service and if you have stories you should share them as well.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
